Giuseppe Falciglia

Recorder player and baroque oboist, Giuseppe Falciglia graduated with highest honors from the Alessandro Scarlatti Conservatory in Palermo in both instruments. He furthered his studies through masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians such as Walter van Hauwe, Kees Boeke, Dan Laurin, Dorothee Oberlinger, Paolo Grazzi, and Katharina Arfken.
He performs regularly throughout Europe and Asia as a soloist and in principal positions with prestigious ensembles and orchestras, including Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano LaBarocca, Modo Antiquo, La Risonanza, Orchestra del Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, La Fenice di Venice, and Bach Werk Vokal Salzburg, collaborating with conductors such as Ruben Jais, Enrico Onofri, Sergio Azzolini, Federico Maria Sardelli, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Fabio Bonizzoni, and Sigiswald Kuijken.
A winner of numerous prizes in national and international competitions, in August 2019 he was awarded first prize at the Ilma Estate International Early Music Course, recording a solo CD for Torculus Records. In March 2023, he successfully passed the audition as principal oboe and principal recorder for the orchestra La Risonanza.
In 2020, he founded the ensemble Intarsio Armonico, and in 2025 he taught Baroque and Classical Oboe at the Briccialdi Conservatory in Terni.
He has recorded for labels such as Pentatone, Naxos, Dynamic, and DaVinci Classics.
