Fabio Conte

In 1993 Fabio Conte earned his degree in contrabass with top grades and under the guidance of Maestri A. Rasi and C. Gasparoni, perfectioning his skills later on with Maestro E. Fioravanti.

He specialized in the study of antique music, which he expanded by studying the bass viole earning a degree in 2001 under the guidance of M.P. Biordi. Later on, he specialized in the violone, taking courses in baroque orchestra and collaborating with directors such as E. Gatti, G. Nasillo, P. Faldi, A. Rasi, R. Gini, M. Radulescu, S. Veggetti, R. Zarpellon, S. Balestracci, A. Marcon and internationally renowned solo artists such as Monica Huggett, Nigel Rogers, and Sigiswald Kuijken.

He collaborated with modern orchestras such as the Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, I Virtuosi Italiani of Modena, as well as orchestra and baroque ensembles such as Estro Armonico of Padova, I Musicali Affetti, the Orchestra Barocca of Bologna, the Orchestra Barocca of Cremona, and Il Teatro Armonico. He has been part of recordings and videos for Tactus, Rai Eri, Stradivarius, Dynamic, Nuova Era, Arts, among others.
