He received a diploma in Pianoforte from the “G. Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste and a diploma in Harpsichord from the “F. A. Bonporti” Conservatory in Trento with highest honors. Subsequently, he attended the Schola Cantorum in Basel in order to deepen the performance with philological criteria of early and Baroque music, with special attention to the repertoire for harpsichord, organ and fortepiano. He constantly gives concerts both as a soloist on organ and harpsichord and as a continuist with various orchestras and ensembles specializing in the performance of ancient and baroque music on original instruments, participating in national and international Festivals and Concert Seasons in Italy and abroad (Germany, Austria, Poland). Constant is the collaboration as continuist with the ensemble La Stagione Armonica directed by Sergio Balestracci with whom he also frequently plays in Duo.
He has participated as a continuist in the production of first performances in modern times of several operas and oratorios including The Athenaid by A. Vivaldi with Venice Baroque Orchestra staged at the 63rd Settimana Musicale Senese organized by the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and broadcast in Eurovision by Radio Rai 3; Marc antonio and Cleopatra by J.A. Hasse broadcast by Rai 5 from the Salone delle Feste of Palazzo Labia in Venice; The Olympiad by B. Galuppi performed at the Teatro Malibran in Venice and recorded on DVD as a world premiere for the record company Dynamic; Vespro della Beata Vergine by Orazio Tarditi La Stagione Armonica in Sergio Balestracci’s transcription performed as part of the Ravenna Festival 2012 and broadcast by Radio Rai 3; The Passion of Jesus Christ Oratorio for soloists, choir and orchestra by Ferdinando Paër with theOrchestra of Padua and Veneto in Sergio Balestracci’s transcription recorded for the CPO label at the Auditorium of the Pollini Conservatory in Padua.
Alongside his concert activity, he also works as a transcriber and reviser of scores of operas, oratorios and instrumental music on behalf of concert institutions and theaters. Particularly worth mentioning are L’Olimpiade by B. Galuppi (together with musicologist Franco Rossi), Il Crociato in Egitto by G. Meyerbeer (inaugural opera of the 2007 Opera Season) commissioned by the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice in Venice, La Cecchina by Niccolò Piccinni commissioned by the Fondazione Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. In 2015 he produced the modern edition of the dramatic compositions Amor Prigioniero by Luca Antonio Predieri and Giuseppe Bonno to a libretto by Metastasio, which he then conducted in its premiere performance with Venetia Antiqua Ensemble as part of the Venice Music Project’s Early Music Season at the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Venice. In 2017 he edited for I solisti Veneti the modern edition of Ferdinando Bertoni’s motet “Tuba, trympana cantate” and a concerto for violin and orchestra by Giuseppe Tartini, both performed as part of the 2017 Veneto Festival.
