SPECIAL CONCERT
THE CARD GAME
What do four Venetian ladies do during Happy Hour? They play cards and gossip! We culminate a week of research and exchange with our colleagues from Titans Rising (Berlin, Germany) with excerpts from a brilliant cantata for four sopranos by Antonio Caldara, in which the four friends Clarice, Ottavia, Camilla and Livia get together to play cards. And when four ladies play cards, who knows what else they get up to – and what other arias they may decide to sing!
Music by Antonio Caldara and A. Vivaldi
Liesl Odenweller, Soprano
Caterina Chiarcos, Soprano
Sarah Fuchs, Soprano
Angela Postweiler, Soprano
Venice Music Project Ensemble in collaboration with Titans Rising (Berlin)
