IN CYTHARA ET VOCE
Is there anything more fascinating than the tales of a musical storyteller, in which the music fuses with the recitation? Discover the 17th-century origins of the sacred and secular melodrama for theorbo and solo voice, in which the singer accompanies himself on the theorbo and expresses the dramatic poetry in the style most popular at the time: recitar cantando.
Music by A. Grandi, C. Monteverdi, J.H. Kapsberger, A. Piccinini
Marco Saccardin, Baritone and Theorbo
