DE LA GUERRE: JUDITH & SAMSON
The cantata-oratorios Judith and Samson are protagonists of this concert, dedicated to compositions for voice, obbligato instrument, and basso continuo by the French composer, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, demonstrating a refined pas de deux between the spectacle and sentiment in two stories of love, treachery, and true heroism.
