Caterina Chiarcos

Caterina began her specialization in early music singing in Italy, graduating with top marks (cum laude) with a Master’s diploma from the Conservatory of Venice and the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan. Her interest in vocal polyphony led her to the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland, where she attended the two-year Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies course under the guidance of Paul Agnew, Stratton Bull, and Björn Schmelzer.

In Venice, she performs as a soloist with the Cappella Marciana of St. Mark’s Basilica and regularly collaborates with Venice Music Project, not only as a singer, but also as a researcher and transcriber of music from original 18th-century sources.

As a soloist and ensemble singer, she has taken part in projects with numerous groups in Italy and abroad, including Il Teatro Armonico, La Reverdie, Puy de Saint-Cyr, Titans Rising, Prattica di musica, Graindelavoix, La Bella Brigada, Capella Claudiana, and Innsbrucker Hofmusik.
