Caterina Chiarcos – Soprano

Graduated cum laude in 2018 at Conservatorio B. Marcello in Venice, with a Master Degree in “Renaissance and Baroque Music Singing and Performance”, under the mentorship of Cristina Miatello.

In 2020 she also obtained a Master Degree with laude and mention of honor in “Medieval Music Ensemble”, under the guidance of Claudia Caffagni, at Scuola Civica di Musica C. Abbado in Milan.

In 2023 Caterina completed her studies in “Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies” Master at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (CH) under the mentorship of Paul Agnew, Stratton Bull, Björn Schmelzer and Lisandro Abadie.

Her solo work comprises of performances at festivals and music events in major Italian cities (Venice, Trieste, Rome, Aosta, Milan, Turin and Modena) and at international level (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain).

She has also collaborated along with established ensembles in Italy and abroad, including ‘La Reverdie’, ‘La Misticanza’, ‘Venice Music Project’, ‘Guillou Consort’, ‘Il Teatro Armonico’, ‘Capella Claudiana’ Innsbruck, ‘Titans Rising’ Berlin, and she was member of the team of BallArte Festival in Benasque (ES) during its second edition in 2021; since 2015, Caterina is a Soloist of the Cappella Marciana of the St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice.

With Venetian Ensemble ‘Prattica di Musica’, in 2020 Caterina won Fondazione Cini’s workshop in residence under the guidance of Pedro Memelsdorff and Marco Mencoboni; with the same ensemble she also received a Certificate of Merit for the promotion of Early Music from Bruxelles Institute for Italian Culture.

In 2020 she founded ‘Puy de Saint-Cyr’, ensemble dedicated to Middle Age and Early Renaissance music, performing with it in numerous concerts in Italy and abroad.

Caterina recorded with Amadeus, DaVinci Classics, Concerto Classics, Brilliant Classics and Tactus; she’s also in charge of modern transcriptions of original sources for ‘Venice Music Ensemble’ and her work ‘Jacopo Peri’. Due madrigali per soprano e tiorba’ is edited by Armelin Musica.
